Legend has it that the first Japanese Emperor to drink tea, was Emperor Saga, the 52nd, Emperor of Japan. He ruled from 809 AD - 823 AD.

when pushed in a discussion this spring, about what i believe now, i likened spirituality to a japanese tea ceremony.
i believe a good part of our experience and knowing comes from a vast well of the inexpressible.
try and explain it with words is just not the same.

i find it extremely amusing how each year is passing without armageddon.
"for the year 2000, i visualize a world transformed into a beautiful paradise!
but i don't think that either the present world or its rulers will live to see that day.. we are living in the last days of the system of things.
Every day, week, month, year, decade, century, Watch Tower keep their scare tactics working, it means the WT, with their forced "donations" and all Kingdom Halls and Assembly Halls are in their name, keeps bringing in more money, than is going out.
It is all about WT power, control and money.
WT's motto: Keep the Publishers, poor, uneducated and feeling guilty. (Easier to guide, direct and fleece).
Makes Watch Tower shameful and deceitful and cruel.

here i am, send me, send me.. .
now that i have you singing a kingdom melody... which jw songs still stick with you?
that one seems to have the same deep value to me as the national anthem or one of the great christian hymns.
That song.. Here I am, send me, send me, got me in big trouble. That song gave me a "Spiritual High"
and I made a decision to waste my youth and time and Life, to be a pioneer. and and .

I thought I was doing God's will...
xjw protests & videos.
.. i am disturbed by some of the more aggressive apostates posting videos on youtube, like "a jw memorial to remember" where a drunk man goes to a memorial and downs the whole glass of wine as a sort of protest.
this video and others like it received positive comments from aawa members.
People in TV-land, movie-land, executive types, even people in front of a jury for murder,
take time and pay money to be critiqued, to see how "other's" view them,
hoping to look good, and be seen and thought of, in a favorable light.
Some of the findings (sorry, I don't have proof, just what I recall reading/hearing)
is that people tend to listen more to professional sounding and looking people.
That is one of the reasons, GB demands strictness in JW dress.
I have seen a few EX-JW YouTubes.
The ones I have seen, are in no way professional, and to me their appeal, is limited.
Sorry, just my OHO.

this is an interesting development.
while most users will be chinese, there are not restrictions that i know of on foreigners using the facility.. the north china city of tumen, bordering the dprk (north korea) has received permission to organise tourist bicycle tours from tumen into the dprk.. young chinese seem to be interested in nk, perhaps because it gives then some insight as to what china was like in the past.. chinese city launches bicycle tours to dprk(xinhua) 10:02, may 03, 2014 a border city in northeast china launched friday bicycle tours to the neighboringdemocratic people's republic of korea (dprk) as tourism to the country booms.. thirty-five chinese tourists joined the first self-drive travel by bicycle from tumen city, jilin province, to dprk's namyang city, said organizers.
the tourists spent three hours in the dprk.. .
How very odd???
Thank you for posting such interesting "items" for us.

I have cousins who go every year.
this is old news, as it happened six or so months ago, but i just found out today.
timothy campbell died of kidney cancer in november of 2013. he started one of the first ex-jw forums, beyondjw.
i met him in person once.
I am sorry. I did not know him.
an email forwarded to a friend.
what do you make of it?.
below is a report about preparing for the seattle, washington international convention.
Exwhyzee ---->>> Yes, Cruise ships are floating hotels, floating cities actually.
You usually board in the afternoon and they start off with fire drills. "Man the Lifeboats" information.
For those who drive or fly in to Seatac, to be comfortable and relaxed, it is good to book a hotel at least one night ahead, and one night after the cruise has ended.
There is a lot to see and do in the area.
I am not going to the District Convention this year.
I honestly feel sorry for all the duped people who will.

i'm leaving for china in only a few days, and i'm still engaged in 'negotiations' of where to go, with my chinese friend who is kind enough to accompany me (to translate) on my journey's.. our general direction is south from shanghai (and on down to xiamen).. i thought it would be interesting to take a bus trip across this new bridge (well 3-4 years old) from shanghai to ningbo and catch the very fast train on from ningbo.. the port of shanghai (built out in the ocean on the island of yangshan) is the largest port in the world, but the port of ningbo on the other side of the bay of hangzhou is nearly as large.. this bridge allows easier connections between these two ports.. .
its 36 km long, across the ocean and often battered by typhoons.
this map gives you an idea of where its located.. .
What beautiful bridges.
Fulltime , You must be so excited!
I am excited for you, too!
Relax, enjoy, have fun!
Have a great trip!

Reading old posts, your wife is from that area.
Possibly, probably you have old friends, in or out, that share "things" with you.
I have never been to Wales or heard anyone speak the native language.
Wales does look lovely.
Looks like they found a great spot.
